Superman. Up! Up! and Away! In the winter of 1940, the world heard the voice of Superman for the very first time. Radio Spirits takes you back to those February evenings when “The Baby from Krypton” landed on planet earth and went on to assume the identity of Clark Kent a “mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper.”

Superman on the Radio

Superman: Lost Son of Krypton. "Faster than a speeding bullet," the Man of Steel rocketed from comic books in to newspapers, on to television, and even on to the silver screen. But, many of the key figures in the Superman mythology were first introduced on the radio series as he kept the citizens of Metropolis out of harm’s way. The "mild-mannered reporter" first encountered the Daily Planet newspaper, Jimmy Olsen, editor Perry White, and the deadly element kryptonite on the air.

Radio Adventures of Superman

The (Radio) Adventures of Superman. Superman was first introduced in the four-color pages of Action Comics, but soon took to the airwaves in what would become the greatest adventure serial from the Golden Age of Radio. The Adventures of Superman also introduced the legendary crime-fighting duo of Batman and Robin. In the thrilling 11-part serial "Batman’s Great Mystery," Clark Kent and Robin suspect that the real Batman has been kidnapped when an impersonator masquerading as the Caped Crusader tries to undermine American aid to postwar Europe

Adventures of Superman on TV
The (TV) Adventures of Superman. Complete First Season. The legendary Man of Steel assumes the secret identity of Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for the Metropolis Daily Planet. And with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, he battles for truth and justice as Superman. The first ever Superman TV series!
Originally aired in the 1950's, it features George Reeves as Superman and enjoyed tremendous success during its broadcast. The TV series premise was established a year before its broadcast via the theatrical release of "Superman and The Mole Men" in 1951.
